Our Senior Food Relief program provides a monthly $25.00 gift certificate to Hy-Vee to eligible seniors in our township. Only available when FEMA funds are made available. You must be denied both programs to qualify for the FEMA funds. You must not be eligible for General or Emergency Assistance through the township. Those seeking assistance are encouraged to apply when the money becomes available around February or March and it is first come first serve basis. Residents must have a late, eviction or disconnect (utilities) notice to be eligible for this program.įederal Emergency Management Assistance (FEMA) (ID, Uniform, Bus Tickets, ETC.)įinancial aid for families with children to alleviate a life-threatening circumstance or to assist in attaining self-sufficiency. This program provides a resident who is starting a job needing supplies before beginning employment. This program is for someone who is single. Recipients must participate in a Community Work Program set up by the township and look for employment every month they are eligible. Any residents needing help must apply to see if they are eligible for assistance. All grants are paid directly to the vendor. Provided in the form of a basic needs allowance for rent, food, utilities, clothing, personal and household supplies.
